Sunday 4 June

Meet 11am Minster Tree

We are delighted to announce that, as part of the #walkcyclefestival, we are now able to transform another run-down concrete wall on the Naburn Bridge greenway – into a beautiful mural.

Picture above shows us hard at work on our previous mural in March 2015. We will be creating another under the artistic guidance of the same local artist, Liz Collier. Liz has been commissioned to create a special mural themed to represent the transformation of this fascinating route – from railway and coal mining, to a walking and cycling greenway.

A brilliant day of fun and creativity is guaranteed. And the satisfaction of both leaving a legacy and making this space a little better and brighter for the many walkers and cyclists that use it most days.

Please wear clothes suitable for painting and bring work gloves  if you have any (if not some will be provided) and some lunch and drink, ideally to share. There is a Pay As You Feel cafe close by at the old Naburn Station and York’s very own Tuck Trike will be in the area.

We can adjourn to a pub afterwards or cycle back into town and catch the end of the car-free Fossgate Festival

Join us here and help transform this space!
