Enjoy spending time in Nature on a green route walk, ride or run!
In March 2020, at the start of lockdown, we set ourselves a challenge. The challenge was to visit and post an idea for a local walk, cycle or run along a green route or into an open green space in York, for 20 days, every single day! We called the series of 20 original posts and pictures #NatureTime.
The hope was that this would help us all stay well, and keep positive, active, and connected with nature’s spring, and with each other online.
The posts from those 20 days are below. If you do go out to explore, please respect any government restrictions in force at that time, and, if the green space is privately owned, you may want to check that it’s open.
If you are not going out at the moment or are unwell, we hope you enjoy the pictures and descriptions. If you liked the sound of the outing, why not make a note to visit when life becomes freer again?
And finally, if you have any ideas for a local walk, ride or run into a spacious green or blue space around York, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do our best to promote it!
Thanks to everyone who contributed.
