Parklife walk

Friday 2 June

Meet 2pm York Explore central library, Museum Street

Join Joanne from York Health Walks, backed by York Explore to experience parklife in York!

This easy walk, idea for families, will take in two of York’s most lovely parks – Rowntree Park and The Homestead.

We will start at the central library and walk through town, checking out some of the historic buildings along the way using our new park to park walking trail map for children, then along the riverside path and over the Millennium Bridge to Rowntree Park. We may be lucky enough to find the ice-cream barge moored up by the river.

We’ll then walk back along the other side of the river to town. For those who wish a slightly longer walk, we will carry on along the river to The Homestead. And perhaps check out the new Reading cafe there!

For those who wish to join us for the second part of the walk only (between Rowntree Park and The Homestead), please meet us at the Reading Cafe in Rowntree Park at 3pm.
