The IDAS annual sponsored cycle raises money for children affected by domestic abuse. There is a £10 registration fee and participants pledge to raise funds on top of that and can do so via Just Giving.

Update – if you’d like to join on the day, just turn up to Rowntree’s Park at (:30am with your £10 registration fee. Look for the pink gazebo near the table tennis courts.

Our ride is on Sunday 28th May and sets off from Rowntree Park, York at 10 am and is part of the launch event of the York Bike Belles #walkcyclefestival. We are delighted to have been selected as their charity partner.

With two circular routes available of 25 and 50 miles we hope there is something to suit most abilities. The rides have been planned by an experienced cyclist and take you out of York into the stunning Yorkshire countryside, passing historic houses along the way, including Beningbrough Hall.

Cyclists will enjoy regular pit-stops and refreshments along the way and will be welcomed back with cake, goody bags and a community party in Rowntree Park as part of teh #walkcyclefestival

The 25 mile route sets off from Rowntree Park, York and follows the river out to Beningbrough Hall before heading on to Haxby, following a circular route back to Rowntree Park.

The 50 mile diverts from Haxby up to Castle Howard following a circular route through Sheriff Hutton and back to Rowntree Park.

Take a look at the route.
