“Desperate to escape the world of soft play centres, bitchy playgrounds and computer gaming children, I have decided to take my one year old Beatrix cycle touring. Despite being a keen cyclist pre-baby I haven’t exactly stacked up the miles since.
In my usual ‘gung-ho’, ‘it’ll be alright on the night’ style I booked ferries to France with nothing but bikes. In hindsight probably a bit of a wine-blurred, falsely confident move.”
